About Johann Johann Kotze is a musician, yoga teacher/therapist and well-being consultant, and author
of the Five Keys to Well-being technique. He is based in Stellenbosch, near Cape Town, South Africa. Johann's passion for music, nature and a quest for well-being has been influenced by yogic philosophy as "it's lifestyle principles are so strong on common sense sef-devlpment".
Since 1988 Johann has been working as a music- and events producer, on numerous productions and recordings of poetry, classical-, blues- and rock and also composed, performed and recorded his own music. In 2004 Johann left the music industry behind to write and publish the Five Keys book (2006) and started to produce his ambient music and audio recordings for Being Music & Audio middle 2007, with its first release in 2008.

Johann and music
As a multi-instrumentalist Johann taught himself the basics after starting with the guitar in the late 1980's, and combining many years of experience in music recording, producing, stage production, performing and owning and managing a pioneering local recording label (Afrimusik; 1997-2003) in forming Being Music. His musical influences include classical music, rock, a deep love of the blues, folk- and world music, ambient electronica, the ECM music series and the Buddha Bar/Cafe Del Mar styles.

Working as a well-being consultant and Yoga teacher to a general public has helped to incorporate the gifts and insights of Yoga into techniques that are accessible to all, and not only to the converted.

Johann has been teaching and studying Yoga since 1990, establishing a personal interpretation of the universal values of the classic yogic metaphysics and physical practices as a means to achieve well-being and self-realization. Trained in classic ("Integral Yoga") his style combines well with all aspects of holistic living, and allows yoga to be "a gateway to a healthy lifestyle that can be achieved by any individual".
Johann's yoga is of a soft, flowing nature, using the stretches and twists of yoga to deeply massage the body, and soothe the mind with gentle, powerful breathing, rejuvenating both. "Yoga is really not about the difficult stuff, the intricate and strong poses, but about finding ways for it to serve the health of the individual practitioner".

disability, prior yoga experience, or a specific interest or lack of interest in spiritual matters".
